Hotel Shelfort was opened in June 2001 in a fully restored building from the beginning of the 19th century. Hotel Shelfort consists of 15 comfortable rooms, furnished with new Italian furniture of superb design. Hotel Shelfort is a small hotel occupying a separate floor in one of the most beautiful buildings of the Vasilyevsky Island, built in 1903 and newly reconstructed. The hotel is located a few-minute walk from the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island - one of the most famous places in the centre of St. Petersburg. The hotel is also situated very near the Winter Palace (The Hermitage), St. Peter-and-Paul´s Fortress and the Admiralty.

As you exit the Pulkovo-2 terminal you will see a bus stop near the Arrival hall. You can either take bus N13 or one of the minibuses: N3, N13, or N113. They all go to Moskovskaya metro station. Take the metro to Nevsky Prospect-Gostiny Dvor stop. Change for the green line, take a train to Vasileostrovskaya metro station and go up. You will be on Sredny Prospect. Move right along Sredny Prospect for five minutes until you count for the second turn to the right onto the 3rd line street. You need the second building to the right.
To avoid having problems when you arrive or being overcharged by unknown drivers, we highly suggest using our airport and train station transfer service. Russian airport and station taxis are unregulated and the drivers ask for rates as high as $60 or more to take newly arrived guests to the city center.
