The bath room was modern and clean.
The beds were comfortable. And the location was very good we could walk into the main tourist areas from there. The girls at reception are very helpful.
Didn´t like:
The 5 room place that they call a hotel should be called a bed and breakfast. You eat in your room there is no dinning room. And the long saircase leading up to the hotel was very dark smelly and dingy as well as a mission to climb after a long day walking around.

Hauling up luggage via the stairs, but we worked out a system by taking one piece and section at a time.

THE HOTEL WAS WONDERFUL BUT IF YOU ARE NOT FIT - THE STAIRS ARE A BIT DIFFICULT. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO TO OLDER FOLKS WITH ANY PROBLEMS. THE STAFF WAS DELIGHTFUL AND VERY HELPFUL WITH DINNER RECOMMENDATIONS SUGGESTED "TEPLO" RESTURANT WHICH WAS ACROSS THE STREET AND IT WAS SUPERB . LOVED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.

Clean, great location, friendly staff and all English speaking. Reasonable rates and discount incentive to return. Very positive experience.
Didn´t like:
Wish there could be another bathroom for all the guests to share. (Or maybe other rooms have their own bathroom, not sure). Overall, not much to dislike.

All of the staff were pleasant, helpful and spoke very good English. For example, I wanted to logon to my airlines and print out 2 boarding passes. For no charge, they helped me get to my reservations on their computer (without all the information I needed) and they printed the boarding passes after the first effort produced passes in Chinese. All this took at least 45 minutes of their time and computer.
The air conditioning was effective and needed during the hot weather of my visit. The breakfast was good and saved the trouble and expense of going out.
While the appearance of the public areas of the building was offputting, the hotel space was very clean and our "deluxe" room was fairly large. The room was modest but had the necessary services.
The location near St. Isaac´s Cathedral in the historic heart of the city is great for many of the best attractions.
All in all it is a very good value.
Didn´t like:
You need to be willing to accept a couple of downsides. The outside of the hotel is plain and the entrance and stairways are very solid but stark. You also need to be able to bring your luggage up to the third floor (which houses the entire hotel).

it could get a bit noisy when all five rooms are full, since the rooms are so close to each other and the reception desk is right outside your doorway.
