The hotel was built in the beginning of the 20th century in the city center of Moscow beside Pokrovsky boulevard. After reconstruction it still maintains its classical architechtural style but interior and services comply with all modern standards. The hotel is one of Moscow´s few small hotels. In a city which usually offers its guests huge impersonal hotels of 1000 rooms or greater, guests coming to the Ermitage will truly value the comfort, tranquility and atmosphere of the hotel.
The hotel doesn´t have its own cafe but there is a nice cafe nearby where guests can eat breakfast.

From airport Sheremetjevo - I, II to the hotel. From the airport, take bus # 851 to metro station Rechnoy Vokzal. Take the metro to Belorusskaya metro station, then change for the circle line and take four stations to Kurskaya metro station. Go up and you will see a busy street in front of you. This is Zemlyanoy Val street. Turn left and walk along this street until the first turn to the right that should be Vorontsovo pole street. Turn right and walk along this street until the second street and turn right onto Durasovsky pereulok. Walk about 100 metres, then you´ll see the hotel on the right (a big green sign).

To avoid having problems when you arrive or being overcharged by unknown drivers, we highly suggest using our airport and train station transfer service. Russian airport and station taxis are unregulated and the drivers ask for rates as high as $60 or more to take newly arrived guests to the city center.
