Overview
Antique-hotel Rachmaninov is situated in the very center of St Petersburg, near Nevsky prospect in the same building where the great composer studied and worked. His room was scrupulously restored and now it is the Rachmaninov Luxury Suite of the hotel, the design of the other rooms and the cozy living-room was inspired by the atmosphere of the “Silver Age” of Russian culture and so the hotel can be also considered to be a museum of pre-revolutionary Russian life from the end of the XIX century. Unique antiques from the private collection of the hotel owners decorate every room. The hotel is located very close to Kazansky Cathedral and many other historical sites in the center of the city.
Directions
As you exit the Pulkovo-2 terminal you will see a bus stop near the Arrival hall. You can either take bus N13 or one of the minibuses: N3, N13, or N113. They all go to Moskovskaya metro station. Take the metro to Nevsky Prospect-Gostiny Dvor stop. Use the Canal Griboedova exit and go up onto Nevsky Prospect. Cross the road, go past Kazan Cathedral. You will see Kazanskaya street on the left. Turn to this street and in about 250 meters you will see building #5.
